Limited edition "IBUKI"

AURORA DOWN JACKET IBUKI is a Japan-limited model that pursues high standards and is specially named after Mount Ibuki, one of the most famous mountains in the world. Ibukiyama is located in Maihara City, Shiga Prefecture. Based on this image, "IBUKI" was created, which is a design full of Nanga's uniqueness.

"IBUKI" is a product developed using the expertise accumulated in Nanga sleeping bag and down production. It is a high-spec model that reflects the structural quality of down and quilts, and improves warmth retention.

<Features of Limited Edition>

  • Named after Mount Ibuki, the highest peak in Shiga Prefecture, one of Japan's 100 famous mountains
  • Made in Japan flagship version
  • Quilted construction for maximum warmth that only down manufacturer Nanga can achieve.
  • NANGA's unique fabric has a water pressure resistance of 20,000mm and a moisture permeability of 6,000g/square meter/24 hours.

1) Front design

The front pocket is wider than the regular version, making it easier to put your hands in. At the same time, the storage capacity has been increased in terms of functionality and it also performs well in terms of portability. In addition, even if you put your hand in, the outline will not be affected.

2) Internal structure

The warmth retention ability of a down jacket depends on the down quilting structure and quality.
*Quilting construction: The construction and technique of sewing fabric to wrap the down to increase warmth. The quilted construction evenly distributes the insulation and holds it in place, helping to retain heat and improve insulation.

AURORA DOWN JACKET IBUKI uses the same down as the classic AURORA DOWN JACKET, but in order to make full use of the warmth of down, the sides (underarms) are three-dimensional. In addition, by changing the inner seam (sewing) and outer seam (sewing), it has a body-fitting structure. In this way, the gaps in the clothes can be reduced, allowing body temperature to be transferred to the down, and giving full play to the thermal insulation properties of the down.

3) Down quality

AURORA IBUKI uses DX 90-10% Spanish duck down (760FP).

*"FP" is the abbreviation of "FILL POWER", a measurement standard for down, which stands for "the strength of down" or "the repelling force against its pressure". 760FP means that when tested under normal pressure, 30 grams of down rebounds 760 inches. The higher the FP index, the warmer the down is.

DX: Spanish Duck Down 90-10% (760FP) has high expansion capacity to capture more air and provide better warmth. This is an important factor in maintaining body temperature and feeling warm in cold environments.

The "IBUKI" limited edition down jacket is inspired by the majestic form of Mount Ibuki. As the name suggests, this version reflects the powerful image of Mount Ibuki and is full of Nanga.
Like AURORA DOWN JACKET, it has a design and specifications that can be used in any scene. It uses Nanga's exclusive fabric Aurora Latex®︎, which is a waterproof and breathable fabric, so it can be used not only in sudden rain, but also in outdoor scenes. While being functional, the design is also suitable for wearing in daily life.

When it comes to warmth, quilted construction is particularly important. A major feature of "IBUKI" is its three-dimensional structure, which firmly locks body temperature. Clever stitching inside and out ensures a snug fit and maximum warmth. "IBUKI" is a perfectly balanced down jacket that combines the power of Ibuki Mountain with Nanga quality.
