【Pre-Order】Field Record FR-SCD Single

It was created and designed by designer Koichi Okamoto, and created a unique natural shape to create a frame structure that goes beyond the "UL tent". The FR-SCD single-layer structure tent is made of the ultra-lightweight iconic material Dyneema, which is fully lightweight. It only weighs 490g for a one person and 650g for two person.

Users who study lightweight are familiar with Dyneema. It is 15 times stronger than steel, 30% lighter than nylon, and 100% waterproof. However, due to the toughness of DCF material, the sewing process is relatively difficult. Field Record has been able to develop this unique structure which is very rare.

In addition, the tent body material is of course made with durability in mind, and the camp poles are also made of EASTON carbon fiber camp poles, which are famous for their quality. The two staggered camp pillars form a unique geometric shape, which is easy to erect and has good wind resistance.

To reduce the disadvantages of single-layer tents, their weakness is usually that they are prone to moisture resistance. The designer also considered that the four ventilation windows inside the FR-SCD can effectively reduce the formation of moisture and make the tent more durable.

Pre-orders accepted this time include FR-SCD one and two person styles. Each FR-SCD tent is sewn and manufactured locally in Japan. Due to its complex structure, the production time is relatively long. After our reservation deadline, the production time usually varies from three to four months, so please pay attention before order.
