Extreme Conditions sleeping pad design is a particularly tricky balancing act because it's not just about performance, weight, and comfort, the ideal sleeping pad must prioritize all three. To maintain this balance while significantly increasing the warmth level of the Tensor Series, a new internal structure, the Apex™ baffle system, was developed this year.
Extreme Conditions will create a new chapter for Nemo. Tensor EC provides ultra-high warmth thanks to its Apex™ baffle internal construction, which combines four layers of Aluminized film into the inner layer of the sleeping pad. It stands out among many sleeping pads, achieving an R-value of 8.5 and an incredible balance of warmth and weight. It’s now the warmest, most insulating ultralight pad on the market and remains the quietest sleeping pad in its class.
Apex™Baffles
New construction method, with low-stretch, die-cut trusses, offers stability and even weight distribution while allowing for infinitely more layers of insulation.
Thermal Mirror™ Insulation
Four layers of metallized film are suspended within each baffle to provide quiet insulation and an unprecedented weight-to-warmth ratio.
Laylow™ Valve
Updated zero-profile, microadjustable valve is designed to perform in cold designed to perform in cold temps (even at -20° F and below!) and is now easier to operate in any condition.
Vortex™ Pump Sack
Included pump sack provides a speedy inflation method that reduces the amount of moisture introduced in the pad.
