Polartec Alpha® is a thin, lightweight insulation material that provides strong insulation in cold weather environments. According to the advice of past climbing users, it can be worn as a mid-layer windproof jacket. Polartec Alpha® Direct is a high-tech material that can be made into a sealed fabric; the garment does not require a lining and can be in direct contact with the skin. This reduces the overall bulk and weight of the garment while also providing warmth and breathability.
